Ahhhhhh (,,>﹏<,,) I’ve been sooo busy…
I honestly have soo much to write about, this whole summer has been just busy, busy, busy. I went on a couple vacations and they have all been so wonderful! I went to California near the Monterey Bay, and nobody told me how beautiful it was…. everything was so pretty, it reminded me of the South of France to be honest. I think they might have designed the towns to replicate Europe, especially Carmel, soo pretty but the weather was just not the best that day. Apparently a whale got washed up at a beach nearby, and I was on a morning walk with my mom and we actually saw the poor whale ˙◠˙ They were investigating how he died, but I never found out why. Later that day I saw butterflies! Butterflies are my favorites buggies, their colours are so magnificent.
Before we left, we visited Hearst Castle, imagined by William R. Hearst, and architect Julia Morgan. The designs were very Spanish and mediterranean, one of my favorite styles! And the inside was just ridiculous, it was built to impress and to show off William’s wealth. He obtained many of his European artifacts from churches, one of my favorites being a lot of the 14th century pieces. I love medieval style, but I would never ever want to live in that era.. I just love the history about it.
A few weeks later I visited Virginia, and its sooo humid >o< I can never get used to humidity. Because it was so hot, I went to the beach and it was not cold, it felt awesome! And obviously I played Mermaid, who wouldn’t? DC is very close by, so I visited the many museums DC has to offer, my favorite being the National Gallery. I was so overjoyed to look at the impressionist paintings and the medieval art. I was not appreciative of art when I lived in Europe, the literal factory for art, but I study art in my freetime, so recognising some of my favorite artists was so fun! I saw El Greco, a greek painter, which I was honestly so shocked to see because not many know of him, and my favorite, Claude Monet. Nobody seemed to be interested in his pieces, but fascinated in Leonardo Da Vinci’s piece Ginevra de’ Benci. Interesting how a name can make anything so fascinating. Of course I viewed alot of the other musuems, like the Smithsonians, and they were all very interesting!
I have so much more to write, but I think I’ve written enough as of now.
